Westell DSL Modems
I am going to be helping my sister maintain her new Mini. I have decided to try VCN as it is free and can work with ARD software already on her computer. I tried earlier tonight to connect and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
After we gave up for the night I did a little more surfing and discovered that her DSL modem, which I thought was a simple modem, actually contains a router. She has a Westell 2xxx modem, which she got from Verizon for free.
Would it be easier to have her add the port forwarding services that I would need or to have her enable remote access and try to add the services from my home?
Also, does anyone know what the standard login for these routers are? Without that information, we won't be able to do anything anyway.
