Hi Edward,
I've been experiencing the exact same problem. About 2 weeks ago I bought my first computer, an eMac M9835, with OSX 10.4.2, a 1.42 gig PowerPC G4 processor, and running Safari.
I have the Easy Share printer dock series 3, which was part of a package with the Kodak Z7590 camera.
When I tried to install the Kodak software Version 4.0.4 that came with the package, and got as far as the "find printer dock driver" I could not go any further. My Mac found the printer dock all right, but was want for a driver, and like you said the drop down menu doesn't show Kodak. A call to Kodak support resulted in the advice to download new software ( version 5 something) from Kodak.com. as the 4.0.4 version isn't compatable with Tiger. I did that with the same result; no driver.
The thing is that the EasyShare software installed just fine, but not the driver, but the driver is what I want, not the Easyshare. iphoto works just fine for that kind of stuff.
I also tried to download and install only the driver software, with the same result. Then I re-did the ES dl and install, and immediately did the driver only dl and install, to no avail.
I just want to say I share your frustration.
