Writing in spanish

Mainly the things I write on my computer is in spanish, and I must write accents and the letter "ñ", also when I write an e-mail, but I do not know how to do. I need to form the language in my computer, or what? In this case, how can I do?

When I used the windows operative system, I used to accentuate some syllable just pressing alt+165 or another numbers if I wanted other kind of syllable. In my MacBook I do not know how to accents.

Thanks

Hi temisa,

This site may help you. http://tlt.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codemac.html#accent It has the codes for lots of popular accents. Typing them out seems kind of weird at first, but I think it's actually much easier than the Windows alt codes. Say you want to type a "ñ" - simply hit Option + N, (after which you'll see a tilde appear on the screen without any letter beneath it), and then let go of the Option key and hit N again. The N will then appear under the tilde. It works like this for all the letters, and believe me, it gets easier to remember than all those numbers for the alt codes!

I type in Spanish a lot so I made a webclip widget of the Letters with Accents box on that page, which might be useful for you to do too. Hope this helps! 🙂
