xbox 360 live camera + built-in mic working together?

hi everyone! i am an avid reader of the forums but a first time poster. here is my question...

i am gearing up for a live chat on a video streaming website but the i-sight on my macbook pro isn't working. i was looking in to the xbox 360 live vision camera and wanted to know if the built-in microphone on the mac will still work if i plug in the xbox camera. does anyone know for sure? i know i need 10.4.9 to run the camera, but don't want to have to buy an external mic to run with the xbox camera. please let me know. thanks!
