10.5 Printing Error "Network Host Busy Problem"

Printing over wireless networks, either over a windows environment at the office, or at home on my airport always gives me an "network host busy problem". Plugging the printer directly into my macbook via usb cable will work, but never wirelessly. Also my failed document seems to prevent other macbooks without problems, until I clear my list or restart the printer.

help!

macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.2), my white baby

My bad...Forgot to include that information first time around. Yes, I'm using a print server, and I'm using the HP DeskJet 1.3 drivers, though the setup automatically chooses the generic driver, probably since it's the print server and not the printer directly. I can get it to print one page sometimes, but after the initial print job, it stops. It won't print anything anymore though.

Upgrading to Leopard server, got the printer pausing problem and the Network Host Busy problem.

Workaround: When I go to add a printer to a Leopard server or client (Printers and Fax prefs panel), my Ethernetworked HP4200tn shows up (among other guises) with what is presumably a network interface address - in my case NPIF61FB0 (hp LaserJet 4200). I went to the CUPS interface ( http://localhost:631). Modify Printer > Continue > and the same number shows up as a candidate. I selected that, completed setup, published the printer in CUPS (Printer > Publish). Look at the printer in CUPS (Printers) and get its IP address. Add a queue that refers to that IP address. Prints OK for me.
