"G" shows up where "E" or WiFi is.

I upgraded my iPhone to 1.1.4 and now sometimes I get a "G" symbol where the "E" for Edge or the WiFi symbol shows up. What does this mean? Does it mean I'm connecting with something else other than Edge?

Thanks,
~peter

Unfortunately, the article appears to be out of date and inexact. It states, "A solid rectangle indicates the iPhone has access to a data connection over a GSM network using GPRS technology," but now (firmware 1.1.4) there appears to be the letter "G" displayed within a rectangle for a basic GPRS connection, just as "E" is displayed for an EDGE connection.
