itunes shuts down my computer! need help

After years of working properly (and installing updates etc.) as of last week my PC began turning off immediately when I either closed itunes, or synced my ipod or iphone. Then when I turn on the computer it says "windows has recovered from a serious error".

This is a huge (and extremely annoying) problem and I would appreciate any help that I can get as I need to sync my iphone (and would like to be able to use Itunes as well).

Thanks

Windows XP

RAPG80247,

Yes, it is. It is the USB Monitor portion of the Logitech software. It monitors devices connected to USB, and should only interact with Logitech devices. If it is interacting with the iPhone, that could cause the issues you are experiencing.

I would recommend contacting Logitech in regards to their software attempting to interact with non-Logitech devices.

Hope this helps,

Nathan C.

what did you do!!! i have the same problem, running a aspire 9410 with a stop error of 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0x00000000, 0xf7a217c4, 0xf7a214c0) and i ran the debug program and it spits out this:
BugCheck 1000007E, {c0000005, 0, f7a217c8, f7a214c4}

Probably caused by : lvusbsta.sys ( lvusbsta+4177 )

i called logitech and they blame it on a terminal service error that they wont touch cuz its a built in cam.

ps. i dunno if my built in cam is logitech cuz the cam is called acer orbi cam but i downloaded the logitech update anyways just to be safe and it still dont work
