Metronome Beat - Dotted Crotchet

Wow! I'm working on a piece today in 6/8. Just searched the forum for help with exactly this problem. Having a click every quaver (instead of every dotted crotchet) is REALLY annoying. Surely there's some way to change this without having to manually enter my own click track? Also, the tempo (116 beats per minutes) is still set to crotchets. Any way of changing it so that a dotted crotchet = 116, rather than a crotchet? I'm amazed that selecting a 6/8 time signature doesn't automatically give you clicks every dotted crotchet and automatically set the bpm to dotted crotchets. I'm even more amazed there doesn't seem to be a way to change these parameters. Anyone got any ideas?

I assume you are both using the metronome on the transport window?

You can easily make any click you want using the "klopfgeist" midi instrument, or a woodblock sound on an EXS24 instrument, which is my preference most fo the time.
Simply draw in the beats, or play them (don't forget to quantize!)
The advantage of doing this is that you can have any accent or subdivision you might need to play to (I was recently working on a tune in seven with the accents giving a 2,2,3 feel for example.)

I always make my own click, you can even "save as template" a blank song with your chosen click in the arrange page, rather than using the transport metronome.
