Best time stretch app??

Ive read that logic doesnt seem to be overly fantastic when it comes to time stretching so im wondering what is a good time stretching app?
I watched a youtube vid of BT from 2002 & he says he only (back then) used Time Bandit for vocals. Is this worth checking out? or something better?
Im not a fan of the watery sound you get when u time stretch in logic...

thanks

I have certain "ethical" issues with Melodyne at the moment. It's partly the bandwagon thing, it's mostly the idea of adding all that extra work into my flow when all I really need is excellent time/pitch manipulation for drastic FX down to subtle touch ups. 90% of what I read about Melodyne, despite how excellent the program is in its own right, is all about pitch correction and treating audio like MIDI... FUNK DAT!

+1 for BT
I met him back in 2003 and he really is just the coolest, most relaxed guy I've ever met.

awsome video! he's one of my musical heros along witth trent reznor. got any vids of him???....

MacAddict Magazine (back when it was called that) did a feature on him, and the theme was "making music with Macs" or something. I was in charge of the CD-ROM, so it behooved me to have an accompanying video. The "lost footage" video was actually a follow-up to the previous, which was more interview-style.

Imagine my surprise when we asked him to demonstrate his process of remixing a song and he opened the "The Revolution," which was a fresh release at the time of the interview.

The only other video I had of him is the stuff is from the same interview, but didn't make the final edit. They're no longer in my possession.

It was kind of cool to work at the magazine when I did, especially as the "video guy," though I wasn't able to do the shooting for the interview with Thomas Dolby, The Crystal Method and Moby, among others. I do consider myself lucky to have shot the BT stuff though, since he was my biggest influence at the time.

And yes, he was an extremely nice guy.
