Run Windows on a Power PC G5?

Hello:

Everything I can find about running Windows on a Mac (Boot Camp, Parallels) requires an Intel-based Mac.

Is it possible to run windows on my Power PC-based G5?

G5, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

You can only run Windows on a Power PC Mac using an emulator like Virtual PC. And get ready to learn a new meaning for the term "slow as molasses". Plus I'm pretty sure Virtual PC does not run on G5 machines. Sorry.

I believe the last version of Virtual PC ran on G5's. Check M$ site. I'm running VPC on my G4 and programs like Excel run faster on the emulated PC than the native versions for the Mac.

Yes. VPC runs on a G5. It's actually reasonably snappy, as long as the program is not graphically intensive. But you may find it difficult to find a copy. Microsoft is no longer selling it.
