Logic Express 8 Demo Content

Question

Logic Express 8 Demo Content

Just installed it on my Mac and the program came with a Logic Express 8 Demo Content CD.

I put that CD in the CD drive and it did not play. Am I supposed to somehow open this CD form with Logic Express 8?

Unless the demo CD ha changed in the last 6 months, mine simply contains exactly what is here

It doesn't contain 'samples' or 'demo logic files'. Why it does not play I have no idea, you don't say if it appears on your Desktop or if you have tried to browse the CD. 'Doesn't play' isn't very descriptive.

If it doesn't appear on your desktop, could be you have a bad CD, or your CD player isn't working or the CD needs a clean. However, you can simply click the link above and it's the same thing as was on my Demo CD.

From memory it's actually a DVD and the content (the folders) should be copied to a hard drive before opening as the DVD drive will be too slow for streaming the audio tracks. The demo contains complete Logic project files with audio some video and automation tracks.

You should make sure that you have updated to Logic Express 8.01 (1474.13) as the demo didn't work or load properly until this path was released. Worth a listen, some interesting compositions and complex tracks.
