iTunes starts up on its own

I can't figure out why iTunes starts up in the background automatically. Nothing is playing it just opens. Each time I quit iTunes it will start up again in two minutes.

Any ideas on what setting to look at?

I recall this happening about a year ago but it stopped it on its own and hasn't happened again until now. It's more annoying than anything. Could it be some sort of virus?

Thanks for any help

Sounds like you may have some widget or third-party app that is opening iTunes. I'd disable any such items and see if it stops.
