Upgrade unlocked iphone

Does anyone know if this is possible:

I was lucky to buy an official unlocked iphone in Germany last year. Of course you can not buy them unlocked anymore. With being registered at apple with this iphone do you think its possible to buy an unlocked 16 GB iphone? and use as i use my iphone right now

No, The only way Apple sells unlocked phones is in France.

Apple sells Factory Unlocked 3G iPhones in Italy and Hong Kong.

3G iPhones sold in Austria, Australia, France, Portugal, Norway, Spain and Switzerland ship as locked devices, but can be unlocked by the carrier.
