iPhone not recognized by iTune (switching from powerBook to MacbookPro )

I activated my iPhone on my PowerBook and just purchased a new MacbookPro.

When I connect my iphone with my MacbookPro, iPhoto is automatically opened and I can download photos from iPhone without problems. However, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone. I have to open iTune manually. I do not see "DEVICES- iPhone " in the left panel of iTune. Any idea?

Thanks!

Try doing a hard reset and also try reinstalling iTunes with the latest version.
