MacBook keep disconnecting from LinkSYS WAG325N WiFi Modem/Router

Hello,

I've been using my MacBook for a really long time. Over 1.5 years I had no Wi-Fi connection problems until my US Robotics 9106 Modem stopped working. I bought a nice LinkSYS WAG325N Modem. From that moment on, my MacBook started to disconnect from LinkSYS's WiFi constantly. I used every wep/web2 etc. security protocols possible. Nothing worked.

With my US Robotics I used MAC Filtering which worked perfectly. I did the same settings to LinkSYS as you can guess that didn't help at all...

I did firmware update to my modem, it even got worse so I downgrade my modem to previous version.

I read almost every forum out there, no one has came up with a solution.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this problem, please do so, I need urgent help or else I need to take my modem back before 15th day of using it is over. And try to find some modem that my MacBook would like...

Thank you.

I can confirm I had similar problems with my, "late 2006," MacBook not working well with the 100meg uplink version of the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station.

For now, I have found that Mac OS 10.4.11 and Airport firmware 7.3.1 are a combination that will maintain a solid Wi-Fi connection. Any version of, "Leopard," 10.5-10.5.3 OS or older router firmware, I believe, will be troublesome.
