Blinking MUTE buttons?

Blinking MUTE buttons?

I opened up a file and I hear nothing. No audio at all. I have been experiencing unexplicable audio drops outs that seem to relate to tracjk assignments moving around (and eclipsing other tracks). However, I noticed today that this may be related to ALL my MUTE buttons blinking, looking as a (blue) record enable might. I cannot get this to go away. Is there a global Mute disable anywhere, or does anyone know what i did to cause this?

Blinking mute buttons are usually the sign that a track is solo'd somewhere.

Actually, they don't blink 'blue' when things are soloed, the little 'm's blink in a grey button.

But Brent is on the right track, it sure sounds like something is in Solo mode. I don't ever remember seeing the mute buttons blink blue though...

Try deleting all automation of entire song (on a copy of course).

Just hold down the option key, and click on the solo button of any channel. This deactivates any solo that is active.

So the blinking MUTE switches may indicate an engaged SOLO somewhere? And Alt-clicking would disengage any open solos, if I don't see them?

Do you know if there's a wondow, or list, or all automation data, where it can be quickly found, and deleted, by event, or globally in a song?

I will, would like to, try both solutions.

If they are blinking light blue then charcoal it may be automation (something similar if not)-if they are keeping the charcoal color and blinking 'M' then it is solo (or something).

The delete all auto of all tracks is under options > track automation
