How good is Techtool Pro to use and maintain my Mac?

I am considering a package to help diagnose problems as well as keep my Mac in top shape. In general Is Techtool Pro a good solution to this? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Imac G5 (non Intel) and Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.1), Leapord on both

Just noticed TechTool Pro 4.6.2 update was posted.

thanks, I am not a business so I have only 3 macs for my family at home.
What tools in Techtool do you think is worth purchasing it as an extra maintenance program?

Well, at least 5.0 will be free upgrade to anyone who bought 4.6.x anytime this year.

I can't lay claim to inventing the internet, or +one-trick pony+ which I heard from others!

That sounds like an excellent idea!
The thoughts of pressing the "Hail Mary" button on one of these applications on the HD of what is still my pride and joy, is a bit scary.

I tend not to use TechTool Pro much at all - rarely, if I am lucky maybe once every three months.
