Time Capsule/USB Disk Sharing/Automount?

Hi All,
I have a couple of questions. I have a 1TB time capsule with a small USB disk drive attached. I can share the USB disk drive to other Mac Tiger and Leopard computers on the network. However, I'd prefer to use the 1TB internal Time Capsule disk only for Time Machine - in other words I do not want to share it. I'd like to share only the USB disk drive. Also, I'd like to have this USB attached to Time Capsule disk automount. I can get it to work by modifying the accounts system preference - but I'd prefer that it just mount the disk but not open the finder window. Is that possible? Also, can you do this on Tiger as well?

Thanks.

Actually, I found a neat trick on the internet. You can create and compile an Applescript application that has a line like:

mount volume "smb://server name/share name"

and then go to accounts in system preferences and add this as a login item. I like to make sure that I go to Finder->Preferences and make sure that the "Show these items on the desktop:" "connected servers" is checked.

Under this scenario, at least I can get the system so that it only shows the USB disk on the desktop - even though technically both TC disks have been connected to.

The 1 line compiled Applescript works under both Leopard and Tiger.

It would be nice if Apple Airport Disk Utility let you choose which disks you would share - or gave the option of reserving the internal TC disk for Time Machine...
