Logic and TDM - mixer resolution?

As far as I know, Pro Tools has a 48bit internal resolution, but Logic "only" 24bit.
Is the Logic mixer resolution also 48bit if I use it with a HD system?

Hi,

your information is not correct: ProTools (DAE) comes with a 48 Bit fixed point resolution, that partly truncates down to 24 Bit (fixed point again).

Logic is using a 32 Bit floating point audio engine, this is a different beast.

If you are using Logic with TDM: Now Logic is using the DAE too, with the same resolution as ProTools.

This is very quick and dirty information, you should investigate more by yourself into the differences between native and TDM (DAE) based audio and mixing engines.

Best,
