Logic and Wind Controllers (i.e Wx5 and Ewi/Evi/BC3)

I am trying to find out if Logic 7 maps breath data to recorded midi. So that if I blow more air, the note gets louder (of course that depends on how a particular patch is designed.)

Has anyone had any success with getting any of the Logic soft synths to respond well to breath data, besides just making the next note louder. I'm seeking to get crescendo, decrendo, aftertouch, modulation, and expression working.

How does this work ? I am a Logic 6 user considering upgrading to Pro 7. Thanks

Sounds great. That is the answer I hoped to receive. I got a little into the transformer object but did not grasp all that might be involved in getting cc mapped to the other parameters. I also wasn't sure what layer of the environments to connect it's input and output, if, for instance, I wanted only the wind controller to be transformed and not my keyboard controller.

If you can provide a link to any resource that might help me take the next step, I would appreciate it. I hope the Logic 7 manual is more instructive than previous editions of the software.

Thanks for you time and attention

There is nothing in the manual which specifically addresses setting up patches for wind controllers. You're still flying pretty much on your own for that.
Wind controllers are still very much under-serviced in the softsynth area
There seem to be a good number of commercial patches written for hardware synths, but still none for softsynths, that I can find. (I check http://www.patchmanmusic.com/ as a primary resource for anything related to wind controllers) and I don't know of any book that covers setting up software synths for wind controllers either (though there may be).
