keeping the iphone screen clean and good?

to clean the screen, Apple recommends a damp cloth. There are plastic screen protectors available at the Apple store that I find quite useful. Protects the glass from scratches.

You might like the anti-glare better.

I agree with some of the suggestions posted here and Allan's tips as well.



I personally use the Soft Cloth that came with my glasses from the eye doctor, And I use a small gentle mist on the cloth to give it the shine. Using the special spray that cleans the glass on my glasses.

You don't want to ever over due the dampness on a cloth. So just use a tiny amount about the size of your pinky should be more then enough. I found it works wonders 🙂

You use the applicator card to push any small air bubbles out towards an edge to remove them. You start applying the top edge, holding the bottom edge up, working your way down towards the bottom edge using the applicator card as you go.

I tried Bodyguardz and they work great. Comes with two sets in case you mess up the first one. Watch the youtube video prior to putting them on, any bubbles dry up in a day or so. I found them worth the effort.

i use the anti-glare because you won't notice face oil as much as with the glossy. and it provides some friction... that glass and the glossy protectors can be slick!

You start by applying the top edge, holding the bottom edge up, working your way down towards the bottom edge using the applicator card as you go.

The product is cut/fitted to the iPhone's screen, with a cut/fitted opening for the earpiece, and the same for the Home button. You apply the top edge to the top edge of the screen, which is cut/fitted to the screen making sure it lines up from side to side, with the opening for the earpiece as an additional guide. You hold the bottom edge up slightly with one hand, working your way down using the applicator as you go. If you have it lined up at the top, it is cut/fitted to the screen and will be lined up when you reach the bottom.

This is not flimsy film, but is semi-flexible, and since it is cut/fitted to the screen, it is difficult to mess up. Once you get the film in place, you can use the applicator to slide/push any bubbles out towards the edge.

You can also lift it back up from the botton - before sliding firmly with the applicator in that area to lift it back up to re-apply.

Purchase a double package so you have a backup, but it isn't difficult, and instructions are included.

getting it on there straight is the key... i started out getting them on there no problem... the past few though... i seem to have lost my touch.

Anti Glare as Allan & others have posted are a must.

But I wanted to add this to your OP about being constantly kept in pocket: People I know that have kept their iP in pockets wound up w. scratched phones (dunno if it's keys/coins or what.) While there are videos on U tube that demo the Ip's scratch/damage resistance--I've seen these phones first hand (even from apple store employees.) scratched up.

You might want to consider a case as well. There are a few that add very little to the dimensions of the iP and add a more tactile grab to it (less likely to slip from hands.) and some protection if it does take a fall.

i use a combination of an anti-glare screen protector and the contour showcase. havent had any problems so far almost a half a year into my ownership. and i dont expect any. applying the screen protector just takes patience and care.
