Making "right angle" w/Automation

Hello,

How can I get an automation paramater (for something like volume or pan) to make a right angle, just like the parameter for bypass? Every time I pull one node close to the right angle, it overwrites the other node.

Couldn't find this in the pdf manual anywhere.
Thanks for the advice.

You have to zoom really really close to make such 90 degree "curve". So close, that every tick snaps.

I have a follow up question, which I already asked, but nobody answered. If I make a basic house/trance lowpass filter sweep and open the filter with a 90 degree curve that should take 0 ms, it still makes a short sweeping and whistling sound.

How do I make the envelope jump (not move) from point to another? It doesn't matter how close the two nodes are, there always is "a sweep", like you'd manually turn a knob really really fast.

Cut the track where you want the change and distribute across two channels with 1 being set to the first filter and another to the new parameter.

Filters, delays, all act 'analogue' in this respect.

Hmm.. that sounds like a bit of a clumsy way to speak the truth. That'd mean I would have to double almost all of my tracks. If I understood you correctly.

Easier workaround might be turning the filter to bypass for a second, making the sweep and then turning it back on. I haven't tried this, but someone mentioned it might work.

Maybe Logic will steal a function from Cakewalk Sonar and introduce envelope jump in the future.
