Corrupted cursor...Help please.

Every now and then, either after sleep or after closing my Macbook Pro then opening it after some time, my cursor is weird--it looks like a word but you cant read it--it's totally messed up. Other than logging off and logging in again, the only other way I've figured out how to get it back looking right is to open VMware Fusion, move to it where I get the proper Windows cursor, then scrolling back to my Mac, whereupon the cursor is looking good.

This is a kludge though and I'd like to figure out why it's going bonkers in the first place. Any ideas?

Me too! This happens intermittently though, and only while running Windows. I have installed drivers using Leopard DVD, installed all bootcamp updates using Apple Software Update (windows), then followed by sp3 and other windows updates.

My technical expertise is extremely limited, though I suspect bad video drivers for this.

Run the repair disk option from install disk. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.

Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Afterwards, click Repair Permissions.

Consider updating to 10.5.5.

As a test, create a new user and see if the problem occurs with this new user.
It might simply be a corrupted .plist or something as simple, but not always.
