IIn addition to serving as the repository for Time Machine backups I use my TC to store my MP4 movie files and use them with iTunes in order to view them on my Apple TV. I also have a 250 GB drive attached to my TC via USB and backup my MP4 files to it.

Although some folks had trouble with their Time Capsules after they installed 10.5.3, many of us, perhaps most, have had no such problems.

Do you find it odd that this question needed to be asked?

Nowhere in my Time Capsule manual or posted in Support are instructions on these additional uses and how to make the network connections. Not even to explain how to connect to a wireless printer (I skipped a step the first time). No process notes and I am no networking whiz...

Anyone know how to obtain a list of options and step-by-step "how-to" information?

Simple search on the Apple Support page. Seriously, all I typed in the search field was "Time Capsule". And since the Time Capsule is essentially an AEBS with a built in HDD, all the USB printer/HDD pointers apply to both. Also, the Apple Discussion community is much better than any manual I've found. Just do a search in here, or if you can't find what you're looking for in a search, just make a thread.

Networking is a whole different monster. So many variables to consider. Having said that, someone else on these forums must have successfully finish a set up similar to yours and you can post for advice. Make sure to include ALL the details of your set up and what you want to accomplish. That or you need to have a networking wizard friend visit your place. As well, a wireless printer step-by-step should have been included with your wireless printer.

Also remember the Time Capsule can be used for remote backup/file storage as well. I was at grad school the other night using their secure Wi-Fi connection and although I knew I could access my Time Capsule hard drive I also went ahead and tried to see if I could run Time Machine to view my previous backups on my Time Capsule at home. Not only could I view previous backups but I also was able to run a new backup during the middle of class. I was quite impressed.

Thanks for all the tips!
I did get the Hp all-in-one wireless through the time capsule, and it works flawlessly. A great productivity enhancement around the house.
Just to make things clear, networking appears to be an animal of a way different stripe:
1. No where does the Time Capsule instruction manual remark that you need Airport Extreme, not just an Airport device. So forget connecting Titanium G4's (which of course I have...)That detail might be listed in wireless addressing techies would immediately recognize.
2. This prompted a call and Apple tech support mentioned the capability of using up to (4) ports of (1) self-powered USB hub plugged into time capsule's (1) USB port. Still have not located that helpful hint in any instructions.
3. Rushing to get up and running, I overlooked the time capsule CD. On page 21, it directs to: Designing AirPort Networks Using AirPort Utility (Mac OS X v10.5 + Windows) for additional information. Plan to get there in the near future.
Great to know that time capsule works remotely, and adding additional hard drives to back up large files is another great tip.
Have wireless, will travel? Wish I had more wireless network options. Any more ideas?
