3 dots on certain slides in slide organizer

I am having a wierd problem. I put certain transitions on all my slides and 2 of them have sort of adopted their own transition. On the inspector, it says "dissolve" for the transition I gave it, but when I run the slideshow - it fades to black and then the next picture pops on - instead of gradually. Also, those 2 slides are the only one with this little set of 3 vertical dots on the left side of the slide and I don't know where they came from. Please help!!!

The three dots on the thumbnail means you have placed a build on at least one item on that slide. A triangle in the lower right corner means you have placed a transition on that slide.

I would inspect the items on the slides with the three dots and see which ones have a build. You may have accidently had the Build window of the inspector (yellow dianmond, 3rd from left) open instead of the Transition window (slide icon, 2nd from left) when you entered a "movement" from the drop-down lists. You can easily cancel the builds by choosing "None" from the drop-down list.
