Help, I Can't Open My MacBook Pro!

I can't open my new MacBook Pro. Is there a latch? I'm afraid of wrecking something by pulling or pushing.

Mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Of course, I would think that someone who knows how to use the forums would know better than to put an animated GIF of Hobbes in their sig. ; )

It might be a joke.

I just thought maybe it was an inexperienced mac user. Perhaps he/she is too embarrassed to come back?
