Does Pages have any clip art?

I am trying out Pages after having used Word for last five years or so, but I am finding it very frustrating when it comes to clip art.

Does Pages come with any clip art? Is there any clip art out there especially for Pages?

Word has a lot of clip art and a very useful web page that works very smoothly with the Clip Art Gallery; Does Pages have anything similar?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Brooks,

Thanks for the information. It is a pity that there is no clip art. Most of the work that I do for teaching requires some art work; without it, I will probably go back to Word and only use Pages for posters or newsletters.

Hi Muz...

No, Pages doesn't come with clip art. The approach seems to be that it comes with a media browser that will tap into iPhoto, or a directory of quicktime files... so you have to provide your own images.

Muz- I understand your approach. If you have access to both Word and Pages, maybe you could use the occasional Word clipart as an image inside Pages. I find Pages far simpler than Word when it comes to interating images into a body of text.

Hybrid solutions are no good, though. From within Pages, you can click "Pages, Provide pages Feedback" and request clipart in a future version. Good luck.

If you use Office 2004, the clipart is in the Clipart folder. These are JPEGs and PICTs.

Drag them to iPhoto and you can choose them from there.

And guess what?

If you use Microsoft Clip Gallery, a program in the Office folder, you can drag the images from there to Pages.

Hallo Muz,

try "www.openclipart.org". There should be enough for your needs. I haven't searched the site by myself, but there are more than 6000 clip arts. I hope that helps.

Muz, have a look at Apple's iCards. If needed, you can mask the pictures in Keynote and use the result in Pages.

I really think Apple should explain more about how to use iPhoto as not just a place to store photos.
