Could not connect to AIM Error - you have attempted to login too often....

when trying to login it tries to login several times then errors out, and then when trying to login the could not connect error message appears and says you have attempted to login too often in a short period of time. I saw the other postings and tried port 443, deleting the plist files but still get this error.

It's strange because we have other macs that work fine using the same wireless router. And this appears from time to time on the other computers also.

We upgraded to 10.5.3

Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.3)

Nope, just one or the other. The only reason port forwarding was even on was to get onto i chat and let people know to hunt for me in yahoo im.

The netgear router had started to have some 'fun' problems, such as random rebooting, or just not restarting after a reboot. Replacing the unit has fixed that.

Now everything is working. Heh, I should have learned by now that when you spend under $60 for a piece of network gear, every so often you might get a bad unit.

ty for all the help.
