Time Capsule and Remote Access?

Have had a 1TB TC since it came out and have a few questions I hope can be answered here.

We are using it for a business as both a wireless and a server. We are not using it for back up.

The first question is can this be remotely accessed? This way files can be accessed from remote locations.

The second is we have music on there and was wondering how to make an itunes server.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have an AEX with HD connected and i want to connect to it from the outside world. I understand everything about the setup of the port forwarding and my IP, but where I think I get stuck is when I try to connect to my address I am asked a user & password, is this the account user from my mac?

Do you have disk access enabled via accounts? If so, that is the user name and password you need to use.

Hi Nachos, its still not working, could it be that I'm not using the WAN port, but instead I'm using the LAN port???

Yeah, you need to use the WAN port.

Thanks, I got it to work, I'm well chuffed 😀 Even though it asks for name & password when connecting, leave name empty and put in the disk password and its done. 😀

I want now to set up some user accounts for the drive, do you have any advise, do I need to empty the drive from file first? What will happen to the files when i switch over from drive password scheme to users... I tried but it gave me a warning that i'd loose all acces to my files so I didn't try it.
