DVC PRO HD out of sync files
I am trying to transfer HD files (720p25), originally recorded on P2 cards, into Final Cut Pro (V6.0.3). The files were copied from the P2 card onto a hard drive. I am working off the hard drive.
Some clips transfer without problems. But many of them are out of sync when I open them in the FCP viewer or timeline, although they playback in sync in the "Log and Transfer" window. The files also play in sync when viewed with the Panasonic P2 viewer.
I checked the Quicktime files FCP generated in the transfer and they are out of sync when viewed with the QT player (V 7.4.5). Something might be happening in the transfer to QT--although not always, since some of the clips are transfered in sync.
I am working on a 3GHZ Dual-Core Intel Mac with 4 GB RAM. Could it be a playback problem?
Any ideas/suggestions for solving this issue will be greatly appreciated.
