IPod Touch Internet Service

Can anyone clue me in on the internet service for the Touch? Does it require a monthly plan, if so, how much? I called Apple and the Rep said that it is ready to go out of the box with Wifi, if I am in a Wifi area, but that doesn't sound right to me. I would appreciate any advice before I purchase one...

Since you have ATT DSL (formerly SBC) you can access the web at any ATT wifi hotspot using your DSL user name and DSL password.

In a Safari browser window Google ATT and the ATT secure login page will appear.

Input your DSL account user name, then select your provider (probably @sbcglobal.net)and then your DSL password.

Check the disclaimer box and enter and you will get unlimited access to the web since you are already a subsciber.
