DNS servers greyed out

I actually replied to another post that was marked ANSWERED, but since it doesn't answer my problem I'll post a new thread.

I am using an Express mobile broadband card (Merlin EX720) in my MBP. I am unable to change the DNS servers because they are greyed out. I need to change them because certain sites are unavailable using Sprints DNS servers (for whatever reason, Sprint is no help since I use a Mac).

I have purged the DNS cache using dscacheutil but that does nothing. I want to be able to use OpenDNS addresses, but since greyed out Sprint address are in there and are unchangeable, I am at a loss to find a work around for this. I'm not using a router (obviously) so what other options, if any, are there? Do I really have to downgrade to Tiger to be able to use whatever DNS servers I want?

MBP 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

How can you edit them if they are greyed out? You shouldn't be able to do anything with them.

This is a known problem with Leopard. The DNS addresses supposedly can't be edited when using DHCP. With the Sprint setup, using the Apple drivers included with Leopard, there is no way to even change to a static IP, which apparently also means there is no way to delete the DNS addresses that are picked up as soon as you connect.

How do I post a screen shot here?
