'Page up' Key

I don't think that's correct, at least not in all applications -- it doesn't work for me. What works is
fn+up arrow=PgUp
fn+down arrow=PgDn
fn+left arrow=Home
fn+right arrow=End
fn+delete=forward delete

hexonxonx is correct when referring to the top or bottom of the page. The key combo has worked on all powerbooks and MBP and MBA that I have had.

the key combo that you mentioned with the fn key moves the page up slightly or down slightly.

I'm not convinced. command+up arrow is a program specific shortcut. For example, in preview it does nothing. In MS Word it just is the same as arrow without the command. In pages it moves to the beginning of the document. fn+up arrow, on the other hand, I believe makes the keyboard send the code corresponding to the PgUp key on an external keyboard independent of the program (on my Macbook, the up arrow key is actually marked "page ^", where the page part is access with the fn key; for some reason those markings are not there on newer keyboards).

The shortcuts I posted work in every program that I have ever used on any of my Macs.

I have answered the persons question as it works perfectly. I have been using these keys for a year, since I bought my first Mac.

I have to agree with ahostmadsen.

For example, I just tried it in Firefox 3.

Command+Up goes to the top of the page. This is NOT the same as "page up". Page Up means go up a page at a time. Very different than "top of page".

Ditto Command+Down. This goes to the bottom of the page. This is not the same as Page Down.

On the other hand, FN+Up is Page Up, FN+Down is Page Down.

Thank you! The option+up/down combination worked for me in some apps, but fn+up/down works everywhere. command+up/down works the same as fn+left/right. Even in GNOME and KDE I used windows key bindings, so I've been lost for week or so.
