Why wont safari connect to netscape.com?

I have an AIM email account that I use as my main email. In order to access it i have to go to netscape.aol.com and login. The safari on my new mac will not load the netscape page while my home pc loads it just fine. Will i never be able to check my email from my mac? how do I fix this HUGE problem?

Also, the internet on my computer is so much slower than my home pc. Is this because it is wireless? I dont know a lot about computers... but I would think that a one week old mac should be faster than a two year old gateway pc.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
I really want to be able to check my email next year when I no longer have a PC at home!!!
