The all new: iTunes 5

hmmmm .... now all my podcasts show up in the Library ? I wonder if they'll show up in Party Shuffle too ??

But if I search for a specific podcast with the nifty new "Search Bar" it will only show-up if I choose Podcasts (not Music though).

And if I remove them from the Library (but keep the files), they also disappear from the Podcasts. I can go into my iTunes folder and click on the podcast and it will reload into my Library.

I don't like podcasts in my music Library ... bad.

And it does look like a windows app ... blecchh!

It's OK, I've found the solution on another thread (called "updated itunes and lost whole library").

I have just downloaded and installed iTunes 5 and have to say that I am disappointed in it. I don't mind the new interface, it's inline w/ the updated UI guidelines for Apple, I also like some of new preference options. My beef is that this is presumably a major version update, and I don't see anything in it that should constitute calling this 5.0. This seems more like a v4.10 then a v5.0.

Yeh does seem odd that podcasts appear in the music library.

At least the (i think new?) 'skip when shuffling" option in Get Info is checked by default!

Well, since the (old) Library also contained Audiobooks, Videos, it wasn't really a music library anyway. I much prefer the new Library usage. One library for everything, and the search bar lets you select Music/Podcasts/Audiobooks/Videos, etc..

Disappointing.... my single most desired feature isn't there (random "complete albums only" smart playlist) and the folder implementation is poorly implemented (try accessing a folder within the party shuffle feature)...

Not what I expected from 5.0. A minor tweak from 4.9, nothing more.

Well, technically the corners are still rounded. They're just tighter now. I kinda like the tighter look, although I think about halfway between the two would be more ideal.

I keep looking at it, and comparing it to 4 and i cant work out why they changed the look.

I think it looks really bad.

is it possible to skin it or somthing, to get rid of the stupid look? or shall i just uninstall it

To each his own, I guess. I like the look much better overall.

I dunno, it just doesnt match the whole aqua look to me.

I must say, if 10.5 looks anything like the new look for itunes i wont buy

This is a real step backwards.. its really ugly.

You all are funny. Im glad we all didn't pay $40 for it or we all would have something to cry about.

I agree the look ISN'T aqua and Im sure there will be skins or they will improve it SOON along with the bugs it has like defaulting to a blank library. Watch out for that one.

Do all you have internal CD burners? Im looking for a recommendation. No place does Apple have a lsit of "supported CD burners for I tunes.
