I just purchased a new album from the iTunes store and after I upgraded to iTunes 5, it will not transfer that particular album. I loaded other music as well without a problem, but even trying to manually drag and drop the album didn't work. Any suggestions?

Whylago, I had the same problem. Turns out I had version 2.2 of the ipod software. I upgraded to 2.3 and it worked fine. It did give me a message that said I had old ipod software and needed to upgrade it to the latest version.
I still have the same problem with my 60GB photo. I couldn't update to a newer software version with my computer because updaters 2005-6-26 and 2005-9-6 dont recognize the iPod so I had to update from a friend Powerbook. Now I have 1.2 on the iPod but the purchased music doesn't sync.
I also have this problem, I've followed the steps on the hlpe page, updated iTunes and the software and now I can't put songs on my older 3G 4 button iPod.
Is this some kind of scam to make me buy a new iPod?

I have the same problem, but my iPod mini have the latest Software (1.4). I can't transfer any of my albums purchased in the iTunes Music Store. With the music that I have copied by my self from my CDs there is no problem. After updating to iTunes 5
After copying the music to my Powerbook, I can transfer the music to my iPod mini
Taking music from a CD is fine, just iTunes store seems to be a problem. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
I also have this problem, other people with a the same hardware in my office don't.
I've tried updating all the software, is there anyway I can backgrade (I've made that word up) to iTunes 4?
What else can I try?

Folks, this topic really belongs in the appropriate iPod forum. Since it actually deals with the iPod.
But I do have some tips. For those that have not done so yet, upgrade your iPod to the latest firmware. You can download the 2005-09-06 updater from the link.
If updating the firmware does not work the file system on the iPod
b may
be damaged. You have two courses of action.
1. Use Disk Utility, located in </Applications/Utilities/>, to repair the file system. If you do get errors on the iPod run the repair utility until there are no errors, then run it one more time just for good measure. If Disk Utility has trouble repairing the iPod proceed to step 2.
2. Use the iPod updater to Restore the iPod. This will delete everything on the iPod, but you will be able to upload all of your purchased music to the iPod afterwards.
I also want to stress how important it is that you have a current backup of all your purchased music. If you have all your purchased music on your iPod, and do not have a backup you are asking to lose that music and have to rebuy it all over again.
