Find banner is missing on Safari

I am not sure what happened while using Safari this evening to do a search on Bed, Bath and Beyond for college dorm items. It first started when I tried to click on specific items on the webpage to view. Instead of going to the requested items, it would give me "word bubble" choices. Then, the Find banner, on the upper right hand corner of the Safari page, went missing. You know, the one where you can just type in something that you are looking for, and it goes to a google search. I cannot figure out if there is some way to reset this option or not, since I don't think I reset anything that made it go away.
