Relinking Music to New iTunes Library and Playlists?

No. I finally just bit the bullet and rebuilt my playlists manually from the playlist information on my iPod.

It would be great if Apple could do something like Adobe did with After Effects where all you have to do is point to where one file resides and it automatically relinks the rest - can't be that hard to program. AE has had that feature for years.

" ITunes > Preferences > Advanced > Music

At the "iTunes Music Library location" part, press the Reset button.

You now should see the location as, Computer name: Users : your user name : Music : iTunes : iTunes Music:

If this is not where your "iTunes Music" folder is located, click the "Choose" button and navigate to it. Click OK. You should see a message that the library is being updated. On completion, iTunes will be ready for use."

When I try that, my playlists disappear. he problem wasn't linking the music. The problem was relinking the music while mainting my playlist info. No matter what I tried I could eaither have my playlist info intact, but every song would be "missing", or I could have all my songs linked, but the playlists wiped out.
