Convert DVD to .mov

Sorry if this seems like a very obvious question, but I'm trying to covert some DVD's of my professional work to .mov files for viewing on the web. The DVD's aren't copy protected because it's my own stuff...

What is the easiest way to do this? I know Handbrake will convert to an mpeg-4. Am I missing an easy step to covert beyond this, say to an .mov file? Or is there another program that makes this easy to do?

Thanks for help.

As long as it is your own movies, I recommend Handbrake, then Quicktime Pro to convert. My mate has asked me in the past to do a chuckload of video editing, and most of his material was on DVD. I used Handbrake, then QTP to convert. It's easier than filling your car with petrol (or diesel).

Also, my collegue uses Popcorn to convert non-copyrighted DVDs to his MBP, and he says that's pretty easy too, but Handbrake was free, and a licence for Quicktime Pro is cheaper than Popcorn.

Hope all this info helps!

I strongly do NOT recommend Handbrake for this. You'll be compressing the already heavily compressed MPEG-2 video from the DVD to even more heavily compressed MPEG-4 by using Handbrake, and then converting again with QT Pro. Use DVDxDV or MPEG Streamclip and go directly from the DVD's VOB files to an editable format. Leave Handbrake for the task it was designed; converting video to other DELIVERY formats.
