Installing Quicktime for Java

I need to install Quicktime for Java on my Windows XP machine. To do this I followed the instructions at Apple's Developer website ( http://developer.apple.com/quicktime/qtjava/installation.html), but one crucial piece of information is missing: when am I supposed to be presented with the "custom install option"? It never appears. I've even tried the Dilbert fix ("Shut up and reboot!").

As I say, I've followed the instructinos on the Developer's site: this means that I've installed not only Java 6 Update 6, but also Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 6.

What am I missing here?
