Address Book will not open

Question

Address Book will not open

I imported my address book from a previous version incorrectly and the address book will no longer open. I have tried to reinstall just the address book and the entire OS to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5)

I too had same problem, but for me, it was after using Migration Assistant (which i thought was supposed to minimize these problems). So looking for same help you are.

IF you still have the previous OS available to you on another computer, along with the previous AddressBook data, select all entries in the old AddressBook and drag to the desktop. This will create one "mega-VCF" card with a filename like Albert Adams and 491 others.vcf. This can be copied to the computer with the new OS and double-clicked and everything will import.

i do have my address book running on another computer so, specifically where or what folder do i look in for the data to select, and then drag to my desktop??? i will then burn a cd with it on it and load to my leopard desktop ... then i just double click on the mega-vcf folder??
