Adding Lower-Thirds in Quicktime Player

All,

So I forgot to add the ".com" lower third title (or whatever you call it) to my 25-minute long movie. Anyone know if I can add one really quick in Quicktime player? I go to Window -> Show Movie Properties, then click on the Video Track and look under the Visual Settings tab. There's a spot for a mask, but I can't seem to get the title I create in Photoshop to work properly.

Thoughts? Or do I have to render everything over again.

You can add a "Watermark" in Compressor.

Copy the text or graphic to the Clipboard (a .png file will retain transparency). For best results, size the graphic to match the movie size.

In QuickTime Player, to make a graphic show up in more than one frame, select the portion of the movie you want to add it to using the In and Out markers and choose Edit > Add to Selection and Scale.

Choose "Show Movie Properties". Select the new graphic track in the track list. Click on "Visual Settings", Change the Transparency to "Straight Alpha" or other Alpha setting as desired.
