Certain keys don't work! Help

I have a 17'' 2.16ghz Core Duo that I got used. It works great and faster than my iMac G5, so I want to be able to use it as my main computer. However, the zero, volume up, and return key don't work... It isn't all that bad since I can just hit the enter key next to the spacebar, and manually adjust the volume, but I'm really missing the zero key... Is this a software problem, or is the keyboard itself broken? Is there a way to take it apart and check/clean it? Does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks

iMac G5 20'' (isight), Mac OS X (10.4.9)

could be that some dirt or liquid has got in there. The keys are actually really easy to prize off, just get a small screwdriver or something, slip it under the key and flip it upwards. Take off the offending keys and clean underneath with a cotton bud or something. This may help. (had a similar problem myself and when I popped the keys of there was a curious red crust around them which looked suspiciously like a red wine stain)
