Waveform Size in Timeline

I am in the process of making the switch from Avid, and was wondering if there was a way to increase the size of the waveform display (like one would do in Pro Tools or other Audio editing software) to see audio that was recorded at a low level to enable one to find the Peaks and Valleys much easier...

thanks in advance for any help

Mac OS X (10.5.3), FCP 6.0.3

He is talking about "zooming" the waveform scale up. In otherwords, not making the track taller or focusing in on a frame to magnify the view of the timeline, nor changing the gain on the clip to make the waveform larger. He means zoom the scale up, so that the height of the waveforms are magnified to reveal a more sensitive readout of quieter audio.

It's not a FCP option, so I can understand why people do not understand the question, but it is a great feature of other software.
