Yellow tint on iPhone 3G Screen

I just purchased a new iPhone 3G this morning. I took it home and when i compare the screen of my old iPhone to my new iPhone, I can see a horrible yellow tint on the iPhone 3G screen. Can this be replaced?

I exchanged my iphone 2 times so far, as i posted before they kicked me out of a store when i tried exchanging it a secong time and had to go all the way to newyork where they echanged it for the second time. Now from my experience of having had 3 iphones I am able to say the following.

1. Most iphones have different screens, its not the firmware, i updated all 3 of them to the new one and made no difference.

2. The yellow tint is worse when its looked from an angle, every phone has the angle on a different side. For example the secong iphone i had looked real yellow from the top angle. The one i have now looks slightly yellow from the side angle.

3. Some of them are just plain yellow and even worse from angles, this contradicts what the head of marketing for apple computer says about the screens.

My third iphone was much better than the other 2 so i'm considering myself lucky... It took a bit of fighting arguing and driving all the way to newyork but i got wanted, i phone that doesnt look like someone ****** in it.... Guys if you dont like your iphone, just go get another one. Even if you have to get kicked it by a security hard and screemed at by the manager. Its worth it.

I have the same problem and a horrible yellow screen!
I got mine beginning of august, after waiting for two weeks so probably got on of the first modells sold....interesting is that my collegue got his iphone 3g 2 weeks after me - and no yellow screen at all, just like the iphone 2g!

Quite interesting the "official" apple answer from the customer service agent:
"1. "warmer" screen to better display photos; 2. not possible that my collegue got another colour....

I very much hope that it is only a SW-bug and that apple will provide an appropriate software update to change the colour asap - firmware update didnt change a thing!

Yes, I noticed a slightly yellowish tint offset compared to my to my original iPhones. The 3G works fine, the display is brighter, it has more, clearer audio output, GPS. After a day the yellow tint didn't matter, I'm used to it. Either take the phone back, get a refund or be quiet about it. There could be matters much more important than a slight yellow tint. Gee!

On second thought, I remember when I was one of the oldest on one of the early iPod forums.
I had to constantly keep in mind that most of the others on the forum were about 12. Makes a difference.

My friend and I just bought 2 iPhone 3G last month, I noticed my screen is yellow-ish compare to my friend's iPhone. But it not only that, I also compared my iPhone to my other 2 friends, they have the same brightness and its much brighter than mine. Should I go and exchange my iPhont to other one? Is it possible? How do I do it?
