Problems burning data disc in iTunes

Hi,

I'm trying to burn a playlist onto a data cd from iTunes. For some reason, every time I try to burn a disc, it gets through checking playlist, then says an unknown error occurred (261).

It will let me burn audio cds, but it's a big playlist and it would be much easier to just do a data cd. Some of the songs are limewire songs...is this the snag?

I too am having problems burning data disks to dvd. While it appeared to burn without problems. It took over an hour sometimes 2 or 3 to burn the dvd which upon completion was not recognized in either my Dell or my Mac. I hooked up my external drive where my music is kept to my Mac and it appears to have burnt correctly readable by both machines and took about ten minutes to burn each dvd. So it appears the Windows version is majorly screwed.

I received the same error while trying to back up my music to a data CD using iTunes 5. It let me back up one playlist, but would not allow me to back up another list to a different CD-R. I received the error message: The attempt to burn a disk failed. An unknown error occurred (261)"
