App Store + Gift Card

Now I do love my Iphone and have openly promoted it among my clients and associates who are currently using Blackberries and enterprise. I think its the new revolution for our industry to switch to the Iphone.

Now I went out and bought an $50 Itunes gift card, for the purpose of buying Apps for my phone to show off its abilities. And now when I go to spend it, I'm out of luck, it would seem that the card I bought can not be used to buy Apps with.

So you now have $50 dollars that has been stolen from my pocket.
Quite frankly it seems like I am the victim of a fraud/scam.
What should I do?
Who should I contact? ...

I really love the phone but this is ridiculous.

Thank you for contacting Apple about the App Store. We're glad you're interested in this new offering.

After doing some research, you will not be able to purchase games or applications with store credit or an iTunes Gift Card in Canada. Customers residing in Canada may only purchase games and applications using a credit card.

This is what they say:

"Gifts purchased from the iTunes Store in Canada may be purchased only for, and redeemed only by, residents of Canada. Gifts are non-refundable. Gifts may not be purchased with iTunes Cards, Gift Certificates or Allowance Accounts. Gifts may not be used for Movie Rentals or Apps."

This reply is just plain bullocks. I tried to enter in 3 different credit card numbers. It wouldn't accept the three numbered code on the back of the card. So it just simply means they don't want to sell us any software.

Means since you can download illigally in Canada, you can't have our appz!

Same thing happened to me i bought $20 itunes card
and now its gonna go to waste first i thought it was
my itunes so i tried reinstalling it this just *****
i hope apple fix this soon
