Exchange Birthday Shifted by 1 day

So all of my birthdays on my iphone 3g are 1 day earlier than they are in my outlook. I sync through an exchange server and i tried to check all the timezones were correct and it seems they are. Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions or suggestions? I use 1and1.com for my exchange and didn't have any problems with the birthdays on windows mobile 6.0 on my blackjack2...

thanks in advance.

I have Time Zone support enabled AND the correct time zone selected. I've tried syncing it both ways.

To clarify: The wrong date is showing up in the CONTACT entry and NOT the calendar. All of my calendar entries are correct. Outlook has created an annual recurring event for their birthday and this shows up on the correct day in the calendar. However, on the Contact Birthday field the birthday has been shifted. I am NOT experiencing any hour shifts in my calendar appointments or anything. It appears to simply be birthdays in the contacts. If I correct it on the iPhone, it becomes wrong on outlook and vice versa. Oddly enough, anniversaries which are listed in my contacts are listed CORRECTLY! It's just the birthdays. I'd be more okay with this if it were making me younger by a day, but it is making me older, and that's not cool. 😉

I have found the pattern of the incorrect birthdays in the contacts. It is a daylight savings issue.

In 2008, daylight time begins on March 9 and ends on November 2. ALL my birthday from March 10-November 2 (INCLUSIVE of end points which I have friends with birthdays on...) are WRONG (they are listed as 1 day earlier)! The rest, as far as I have checked (and I have a ton of friends I'd have to check) are CORRECT!

Now the symptoms are clear and a culprit has been spotted. Now a solution please? I hate daylight savings time... it has caused so many problems to inept programmers and problem solvers everywhere.

Best,
Michael

have you updated outlook and windows with the daylight savings time update?

in beta development it took some revisions to get the exchange events to sync with the correct time zones... the birthdays issue is really linked to it being an all-day event that gets off by a day which we experienced too... however, after reporting the bug, it was resolved in the next build and we've experienced no problems since with exchange syncing (i've been syncing for months)...

that leads me to believe it might be a setting or an outlook/exchange/windows update issue. I know outlook also has time zone support and if that isn't set to the correct time zone it might be off as well.

Everything I have has every available update installed on it that i know of. On my windows mobile everything was correct too. it's just wrong in apple's mobileme, apple's address book and apple's iphone... i tried switching everything to all apple products to see if it'd be better, but it's still broke.

i've dumped exchange for the weekend (and probably for good) to use mobileme, but the birthday issue did not resolve itself. again, this is in the CONTACT entry and not the calendar entries.
