iTunes Error -206... Can't download

I recently upgraded to 7.7, and finally bought the ipod update, but I can't download it! I also can't download anything else for that matter... Itunes just comes up with an error saying "Unable to check for purchases. An unknown error occurred (-206)." Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really want this iPod update! I've already deleted every preference file for iTunes/iPod (as fixed the iTunes 4.5 issue of the same nature), but this did nothing. Please Help!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), 4 GB Ram

iTunes support finally acknowledged the problem late Sunday afternoon, and they have their engineering team working to correct it as soon as possible.

I also had the problem with signal something or other.

iTunes Support removed it from my download queue.

Now I can download the others I had waiting.

Maybe it was the app and not the servers?

Pretty much I use the "couch" rule for what I post on forums that are owned by others. Would I ask somebody to leave if they said the same htings to me on my living room couch? If so, then maybe it wasn't appropriate.
