iPhone 3G Accelerometer

Does anyone agree that changing the view in safari is more jerky than previous iPhone? iTunes seems smooth enough as does the photo gallery.
Or is ti possible that it is just my phone?
TIA,
John

I haven't seen any jerkiness of the web browser or the photo viewer, but I have to rotate my 3G slightly to the right (clockwise) to get it to register as "level" and this is most prominent in Super Monkey Ball and Cube Runner. I tried doing the Home-Sleep reset with no help but I haven't restored or reset settings. My old iPhone (even after dropping and cracking the screen) seems to level just fine with those apps.

hi guys... anyone figure out what to do abt this?
here's the thing... my accelerometer was working fine originally too.. just stopped suddenly. what's to say the one you replace won't be the same? if it's a firmware... would it be better to wait for a update? just my 2c....

also i've already replaced my iphone once... the earpiece on the phone was busted...

I called Rogers Technical Support. First person I got wanted me to go through some troubleshooting steps, but as I was using my iPhone to call, she asked me to call back using a different phone.

Second time got through to someone else, he said that they will replace the unit. I was told the new unit will be mailed to me within three weeks, together with instructions on how to return the phone I already have.

I have also found that with my phone, if I place it face down I don't got this problem, it only happens when the phone is laid down face-up.

So far I've just been sitting on mine. Like another poster mentioned above, the accelerometer will randomly work when I wake the phone up. After it previously not working (without restarting the phone). That leads me to believe whatever problem it is could be fixed by a software update (even if it a hardware issue, reinitializing the accelerometer until it works could be a fix).

Plus, all the Apple stores in Texas are still sold out except for 1 which is 3+ hours away from me. I may try to exchange it this weekend, assuming a closer Apple store gets some in stock and still has them on the weekend.
